Counterfeits

GRS tools and equipment are often copied with inferior quality. The following information will help you to avoid becoming a victim of counterfeiters.

Reasons to avoid counterfeits:

Dangerous

Cheap components and materials may present work hazards including exposure to unsafe chemicals and risk of fire.

Workpiece damage

Low quality materials and assembly may cause damage to workpieces.

No support

There is no warranty or support, the customer bears all costs.

Crime

Purchasing fraudulent products inadvertently supports criminal activity.

How do you avoid buying fake GRS products?

Suspiciously low prices? Distrust!

Be wary, if the price seems too good to be true, it most likely is.

Avoid sellers who use “factory direct pricing” in a product listing.

Buy only from official dealers

Buying from online platforms such as amazon.com, ebay.com, alibaba.com, or aliexpress.com is highly risky. 99% of counterfeits are selling on those websites.

Shopping directly from the affiliated partners absolutely excludes the risk of you purchasing a fake.

Check the

producer

All GRS tools are exclusively manufactured in the USA, at the GRS Manufacturing Facility in Emporia, Kansas.

Sometimes fraudulent sellers say that they sell old authentic models, produced by an "affiliated partner" in China, or other countries. This is also a clear sign that you are dealing with counterfeiters.

Check the

product

When the product arrives, closely compare details such as color, materials used, and logos with photos on the GRS Europe website.

Beware of other suspicious wording, such as “products may vary in appearance”.

Fake products can be hard to spot. Fraudulent sellers and producers use copied pictures and manuals from open sources. When in doubt, check the serial number, and other details by contacting us directly
